Accounts and Security

Sign-in, password reset, and what data is held.

Accounts

Email + password. Registration is deliberately sixty-seconds short; the platform builds the richer pet-identity record behind the scenes.

Forgot password

"Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen (app and website) emails a single-use reset link valid for one hour. Setting a new password signs you out of every device - if you are resetting, the old credential is suspect. The form never reveals whether an email is registered.

What the platform holds - and what it does not

Owner contact details are never shown to the public: finders reach owners through the platform. Mesh reporters are anonymous random codes. Generic tag hardware addresses are hashed before leaving the phone. In-app problem reports attach the app's own log - no screenshots of personal content, no contact books, nothing scraped.
